The Hydrantula technology was first developed, introducing a permanent pipe-and-fitting formwork for building reinforced concrete structures in water. The core ideas, the modular fitting system and the onshore-assembly method, were established and progressively refined
The first fitting was produced in the form that proved effective and remains in use today, establishing the modular node geometry that defines the platform
In early 2026, Hydrantula Pte Ltd was established in Singapore as the headquarters for the technology's development and worldwide distribution. Singapore is both the company's base and its primary market, under the PUB and BCA framework
Our mission
To make building in water more durable, faster and lower in impact than conventional marine construction. We focus first on Singapore's coastal protection and marine development needs, working within the PUB and BCA framework, and extend the platform to the wider region from there. The aim is engineering that is assessed on its merits, not marketed on claims
A technology licensor
Hydrantula licenses the platform, supplies the proprietary fittings, and provides the engineering methodology and support. EPC contractors and developers build under licence, using locally sourced pipes, reinforcement and concrete. This keeps most of the construction value and workforce local, while maintaining a consistent engineering standard across projects.

Where we operate
Hydrantula works through local licensing and delivery partners in each market rather than building directly. This keeps construction value and skills in the region, and lets the platform scale internationally without Hydrantula acting as a contractor
Target markets
Hydrantula is built to serve any country facing coastal protection, flooding, or in-water construction challenges, both at sea and on rivers and lakes. Near-term priorities are Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, followed by China, Australia, Japan, the United States, the Middle East and Europe
